Just because you buy a painting does not mean you can copy it. Copyright usually remains with the creator of the artwork.
If you bought a painting, that's all you bought, unless a specific agreement is in place for you to purchase the copyright or you have been granted a licence to use the image for a specific purpose.
Without written proof of such an arrangement, we will not copy the artwork and nor should anyone else - it is a breach of copyright law and could cost you a lot!

It is indeed a mind field for me , i have tried limited Editions over the years and it dose not seem to make any more sales . In my case I sell a lot small canvas prints cards & tote bags with my prints on them , it is the only way i can make a profit at the moment , and as i am getting on a bit open editions seem the way to go , but i am open to taken advise from Mark , he has helped me a lot over the years .
